Define the performance brief
ISO 14644-1 classifies air cleanliness by airborne particle concentration. ISO 7 describes a particle cleanliness class, rather than a complete design specification.
For an ISO 7 project, start by confirming the process, relevant particle sizes and the occupancy state in which the classification is required. These decisions inform the design brief and subsequent testing.

Does an ISO class determine the air-change rate?
No single air-change rate follows automatically from the class. Mechanical design needs to account for the room, process, occupancy and performance requirements.
